What's on the agenda this month

With the Chancellor due to make his Budget statement at the end of October, the first week of November will see all focus directed around his announcements. The Treasury Committee is due to hold several evidence sessions on the Budget, whilst there will be several debates due in Parliament.
It is speculated that Mr Hammond is to scrap a Conservative manifesto pledge to raise the income tax threshold and reform tax relief on pension contributions.

On the 6th, the Chancellor will return to the Commons to take questions from MPs.
Meanwhile, Labour BEIS Committee Chair Rachel Reeves is expected to deliver a speech on audit reform, trust in business and corporate governance at Chartered Accountants' Hall in the City of London on the 12th.
UK Finance will host its Invoice Finance and Asset Based Lending Annual Dinner on the 15th.
